Why Families Choose Us

Every Student Is Treated as an Individual — Not a Number

At MedTrack Mentors, there are no mass programs, no generic checklists, and no one-size-fits-all advice. Every student's journey is different — and every student is carefully guided as their own person, with a plan built around their unique story, strengths, and goals.

01

One-on-One, Always

Every session is directly with Dr. Mario Tomei — not a junior staffer, associate, or automated tool. You get undivided, physician-level attention every single time.

02

No Cookie-Cutter Plans

Your background, goals, and timeline are unique. We build a strategy around you — not a recycled template handed to every student.

03

Your Story, Your Voice

We don't write your application for you — we help you uncover and articulate what makes you exceptional, so admissions committees remember you.

04

A Partner, Not a Vendor

Families trust us because we treat every student like our own. We celebrate your wins, troubleshoot your setbacks, and provide the accountability and ongoing support needed to stay on track — from first call to acceptance.

"We don't just advise students — we invest in them. Every plan, every session, every word of feedback is crafted for that one person sitting across from us."

— Dr. Mario Tomei, Founder

Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions About MedTrack Mentors

Who does MedTrack Mentors advise?

We work with pre-med, pre-PA, pre-dental, and nursing students at any stage — from early undergraduates building their academic foundation to reapplicants strengthening a previous cycle.

How is this different from my school's pre-health advisor?

Your school advisor is a great starting point, but they work with hundreds of students. At MedTrack, you work directly with me — a physician, professor, and former admissions committee member. Every strategy is built 1-on-1 around your story, not a checklist.

When should I start?

The earlier the better, but I meet you where you are. Freshmen get a clear four-year roadmap. Juniors and seniors get focused help on school lists, essays, and interviews. Reapplicants get an honest audit of what to fix.

Do you guarantee acceptance?

No — and you should be cautious of anyone who does. What I do guarantee is honest, ethical guidance and a strategy informed by 25+ years in healthcare and real admissions committee experience, so you put your strongest application forward.

What happens in the free application audit?

It's a 20-minute, one-on-one video call, not a sales pitch. I'll review where you stand, identify the 3 biggest gaps in your application or plan, and tell you what to fix first. You'll leave with clarity, whether we work together or not.

Do you write application essays for students?

No. We guide you through developing your own narrative — helping you identify your story, structure your ideas, and refine your writing through multiple rounds of feedback. The final work is always yours.

Are audits and sessions conducted virtually?

Yes. All sessions are conducted virtually, which allows us to work with students across Long Island, New York City, and nationwide.

What does one-on-one admissions advising include?

Students work directly with Dr. Mario Tomei on application strategy, school-list development, personal statement guidance, interview preparation, and other admissions priorities. Sessions are conducted virtually and are available for medical school, PA school, dental school, and BS/MD applicants.
