Dr. Mario Tomei is a physician, professor, former medical school admissions committee member, author, and founder of MedTrack Mentors. He leads a structured mentorship program that provides physician-led admissions guidance for students pursuing medical school, PA school, dental school, nursing, BS/MD, BS/DO, BS/Dental, BS/PA, and other healthcare and professional school pathways. His approach combines physician insight, admissions committee experience, and more than 20 years in higher education to help students and parents begin planning strategically for the journey ahead.

Throughout his career in medicine and higher education, Dr. Tomei kept watching the same thing happen. I became a physician because I wanted to help people. What I didn't expect was how much I would come to love teaching.
Standing in front of a classroom and watching a student's face change when something clicks—that feeling is as powerful to me as anything I've experienced in clinical medicine.
Mentoring students through the medical and professional school application process is an extension of that.
It's not about filling out forms or hitting word counts.
It's about sitting with someone, understanding where they've been, where they want to go, and helping them find the words to say: This is who I am, this is what I have experienced, and this is why I want to pursue a career in healthcare.
I do this because I've seen what happens when students don't have the right guidance.
